Last October, we had the privilege of attending the annual meeting of the Arbeitskreis geistliche Frauen im Europäischen Mittelalter (AGFEM), an interdisciplinary working group dedicated to the study of spiritual women in the European Middle Ages. As always, the meeting served as an inspiring platform for engaging with new trends and current research in this vibrant field.

Members of our Team, Marlon and Carolin, were thrilled to present our ongoing project, Breaking Walls, a graphic novel that brings the history of the Wienhausen convent and its extraordinary women to life. The project aims to make complex historical processes, such as the impact of the Reformation on religious communities, accessible to a broader audience through a visually engaging and narrative-driven format.

The feedback we received from our AGFEM colleagues was incredibly encouraging. Their generous comments and insightful recommendations provided us with fresh perspectives and valuable ideas for refining the project. We are deeply grateful for this supportive community, which continues to foster innovation and collaboration within medieval studies.
We look forward to incorporating the feedback into the next stages of Breaking Walls and are excited to share updates as the project progresses!
